Information for depositors

The records we hold come from organisations and individuals throughout Lancashire and elsewhere. Some have given their documents to us, but far more have retained ownership and simply lent us their records so that they can be looked after and used for research purposes. Documents held in the Record Office are kept in secure strongrooms in carefully controlled atmospheric conditions to preserve them for the future. Click here to view Preservation Policy
