Welcome to Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre which is set in 11 magnificent acres of lawns and woodland, extending from the beautiful Edwardian house down to the eastern shore of Windermere. The site looks across the Lake to the high fells of the Lake District and has an enviable and easily accessible position.

The centre has 40 years’ experience of delivering safe, high quality, outdoor adventure experiences for all. With its wonderful facilities, Tower Wood can offer a wide range of land and water based activities.

Tower Wood has its own private jetty and lake access, together with a fully equipped boathouse. We are experienced and committed enthusiasts with the full range of qualifications to ensure that your stay with us is a formative and memorable one.

We offer training in sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking and power boating plus a wide range of land based courses from rock climbing and mountaineering to caving, mountain biking and much more. Whatever your course requirements, the staff at Tower Wood will always afford you a warm welcome and a safe, fun, learning environment.
