Situated within a Historic Grade ll listed former court house building, the museum provides a great venue to turn back the clock and explore. 

Discover our Victorian schoolroom, and practice your best handwriting on a slate.

“Command” your own Chieftain tank or experience life as a First World War soldier in the trenches.  Take cover in our Anderson shelter and find out about the Home Front during World War Two.

Ted the Teddy Boy is your guide as you "Fast Forward to the Fifties".

We host regular Family Friendly activities during school holidays and a fantastic and varied exhibition programme throughout the year. Look out for the new family friendly trails and activities in the galleries.
