A Medal from the museums collection

Lancashire Museums looks after more than 150,000 fabulous objects from around the county! Experience Lancashire’s rich heritage, from rocks and fossils, dolls and toys and textile industry treasures, to stunning furniture, medals and swords and marvellous paintings.

We can only display a small number of objects in our museums, but you can access pictures and information about many other items on-line through our database.

To get all 150,000 objects on-line will take several years so please check back regularly if you are looking for specific items. We are currently concentrating on our significant collection of Gillow furniture and our important commemorative ceramics, all with Lancashire connections. Also included are a small selection of oil paintings and part of our medal and coin collection.
