Lancashire Adult Learning works with a large number of community, voluntary, and faith organisation. We recognise that these organisations are often able to identify learning opportunities within their communities where we cannot; and that these organisations can also provide facilities in local venues to enable people to participate in learning when attending a local college may not be the best or most appropriate option.
Many of our courses, therefore, are offered through partnership with such organisations, often specifically to their members or client-groups. We can work together to identify what type of courses would best meet the needs of the organisation or people from within it, and how these courses should be organised. Funding can be made available to support this learning provision.
We can also help to build the capacity of organisations, by offering training courses specifically designed to help the development of the organisation or the individuals within it.
