Building Schools for the Future
Lancashire was awarded Beacon Council status in April 2004 for 'Transforming the School Workforce' in recognition of our successful programmes, support for building schools' capacity to improve, effective partnership working and the integration of school workforce reform with the wider education and corporate strategy.
This work will support the preparation, transition and implementation stages for schools involved in BSF, through close working with Headteachers and Professional Associations.
In January 2005, Cabinet approved the Staffing Re-organisation procedure following consultation and negotiations with Professional Associations and Trade Unions.
All of the new buildings will recognise the need to accommodate more and different professionals to ensure that the workforce reform agenda can be implemented effectively.
