Adoption Ofsted inspection report
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They regulate and inspect to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and education and skills for learners of all ages.
Ofsted inspectors spent a number of days with our adoption team in 2011 and have judged it to be good, with some outstanding features.
In particular, the way the service helps to make sure children thrive in their new placements was praised, including overcoming health or behaviour problems.
The report said: "Children and young people are really happy and settled and thriving in their placements. They enjoy loving relationships, which have a marked positive effect on their self-esteem and confidence."
