These days we're all keen to do our bit for the environment; you might walk the kids to school, wash your laundry at thirty degrees or recycle your rubbish.
But when you think about recycling your glass bottles and jars it's easy to remember the ones that you keep in the kitchen, like jam jars and wine bottles, but what about from elsewhere around your house?
Take a look around your home and don’t forget you can recycle:
All your glass bottles and jars can be recycled. Simply take the lids off, rinse the bottles and jars out and put them in your recycling box or bin.
Lancashire has two waste recovery parks which treat waste from across most of the county. The glass which you don’t recycle and put in with the general waste is processed through the waste recovery parks. Glass in the general rubbish damages the machinery in these facilities, and reduces the life-expectancy of the processing equipment.
