Fostering and Adoption

Fostering and Adoption

Could you join the growing number of people who have taken the first step towards helping a child in Lancashire?

Our fostering and adoption teams are looking for people who can provide a safe, loving and caring home for children who are unable to live with their own family.

At any one time Lancashire Council is responsible for many looked after children. We have dedicated staff who recruit, train and support suitable foster carers and adoptive parents for children.

You Can Foster

Children of all ages and ethnic and cultural backgrounds need fostering for many different reasons and for different lengths of time. Some have disabilities and some have brothers and sisters who need to live with them too. If you have room in your heart and a room in your home we would love to hear from you.

Imagine adoption…and the life you could give a child

We are committed to helping those considering adoption through the process to make it as easy as we can. We will always support you if you do go on to adopt a child and we will be here to help you – if you need it.

If you could offer love and support to a child who really needs it please call our friendly recruitment team on 0800 1951183.

Alternatively, complete our Fostering or Adoption enquiry forms to make that first step.

You can find lots more advice and support if you are thinking about adoption or fostering.
