Lancashire is a great county to cycle in. Explore our outstanding scenery from the rugged Bowland Fells and Pennine Hills to the flat coastal plain. Ride along our traffic free routes, seaside promenades and canal towpaths.
In this website you will find lots of information about cycle routes in the different areas of the county. Visit the events section to find out what is going on in your area. To help you on your way we have also provided lots of practical tips about cycling.
Networks of cycle routes are being developed in our urban areas, making easier to cycle to work, school, college and the shops. Our new 20 mph speed limits are making it safer in residential areas.

"Lancashire is the best area for training in Britain because of the variety of flat and hilly terrain."

"I love the view of Lancashire from the Nick O'Pendle."

Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board operate a cyclists and walkers welcome scheme. To qualify operators have to meet clearly designated standards like offering you somewhere safe and secure to leave your bike at night.
