Lancashire County Property Group forms part of the County Council's Resources Directorate and is the Authority's multi-disciplinary team of integrated building professionals catering for all your requirements in relation to your land and building needs.
The Design, Construction & Development Unit comprises two professional areas of work involving design and procurement and building surveying. Together they cover all aspects of land and building needs from new build projects, works to existing premises, remodeling, adaptations, refurbishment, repair and maintenance. The complete service is operated from County Hall by architects, CDM planning supervisors, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, quantity surveyors, interior and furnishing designers, energy engineers, landscape architects, building surveyors, building service engineers, building clerks of work and engineering clerks of work.
The Valuation and Facilities Unit incorporates a wide range of both Estates and Facilities Management Services, including an 'in-house', highly skilled maintenance team. The professional Estates Management services include acquisitions, disposals, asset valuations, rating, development advice and property management and the Facilities Management service is provided to all the County Council's corporate offices throughout the county extending to both hard and soft services.
The Strategy Finance & Business Services Unit co-ordinates the management of the Corporate Property Portfolio on behalf of Lancashire County Council, providing strategic review and management services which meet both individual customer and corporate requirements, conforming to the principles of Best Value and maximising opportunities arising through new financing and other initiatives. The Unit also provides professional, financial and business advice and support to the Property Group generally, and a property records and property asset management information service on behalf of all County Council Directorates.
