Kids talk about playing out

Our young adventurers know that playing out is fun whether it's playing at scooters or doing bunny hops. But it's not all fun & games as they have to negotiate cars, buses and motorbikes whilst at play. Watch and listen as they give their own unique and often humorous take on playing out and what they think of drivers who go too fast where they play!
 

A safer place to play

At Lancashire County Council our aim is to help make Lancashire a safer place in which to walk, cycle, ride and drive so kids like Ruby and Robyn can enjoy playing outside.

One of the ways we're doing this is by introducing 20mph speed limits to residential areas and outside schools as a response to your road safety concerns and those of our little chatter boxes.
