Additional Population Intelligence

 

This section provides additional population intelligence which contributes to an understanding of Lancashire.  It contains material on the historical pattern of population changes, and also present-day figures on area and population density. 

 

A couple of tables and supporting narrative consider equality and diversity in terms of sexual identity. This is a topic area where local information is naturally difficult to obtain. National rates of sexual identity by gender, plus civil partnership numbers in Lancashire, are supplemented by a list of Lancashire-based employers that have been identified as promoting diverse lifestyles in the workplace. The material supports the information requirements of the equality and diversity work of the county council.
