With winter here we are busy keeping the county's roads as clear and safe as possible, and minimising delays and accidents caused by bad weather conditions.
Salt stocks are built up at 16 locations across the county and our fleet of gritters and snow ploughs have been out working hard since the cold snap began to tackle areas affected by snow and ice.
There are also many things you can do during winter including checking on neighbours who are vulnerable, check your vehicle is equipped for winter, and also carefully consider whether you need to make a journey at all if you know travel is disrupted.

What you can do
You may not be able to control the weather but you can at least prepare for it...
