Student Workshops
Introduction
Pupils from Hameldon Community College and Cherry Fold Community Primary School took part in a number of workshops at Towneley Park City Learning Centre. They created design ideas which were passed on to the building and landscape architects for the project so that the suggestions could be incorporated into the final design. A visit to Off Shoots Permaculture Project at Towneley Park was arranged as well as classroom based activities to create plans and models.
Poster Workshop
During one workshop students created posters which reflected the main features of Burnley and the surrounding area. They used images downloaded from the internet and added descriptive words to create a portrait of the town
Off Shoots Workshop
We visited Off Shoots at Towneley Hall where we tasted edible plants, took photographs and made notes of ideas to use in the Garden Area of The Fold
