The LCCP is celebrating its recent successful application for Beacon status under the Cohesive and Resilient Communities theme. It is further recognition of all the good work we are doing in this area, and of our strong commitment to partnership working.
LCCP beacon application consisted of :- Lancashire County Council (lead) with, Blackpool Borough Council, Burnley Borough Council, Chorley Borough Council, Fylde Borough Council, Hyndburn Borough Council, Lancashire Constabulary, Lancaster City Council, Pendle Borough Council, Preston City Council, Ribble Valley Borough Council, Rossendale Borough Council, South Ribble Borough Council, West Lancashire District Council, and Wyre Borough Council (joint)
The bid itself was unique in that there were fifteen partners who were working together for a shared outcome over such a large area. After the succesful shortlisting of our inital bid, there was a rigorous selection process which involved an assessment day and a final presentation to the London panel.
