What is Life in Lancashire (LiL)?

Here at Lancashire County Council we take the needs, views and opinions of local people very seriously. Indeed, the reason we exist is to ensure people right across Lancashire receive the highest quality services tailored to their needs. We believe that listening to what people say helps us to improve the services we provide to you, and brings local views and opinions to the centre of the decisions we make.

Our LiL members tell us about what is needed in their area, what is going well and where we can improve. LiL is run by Lancashire County Council so your views get right to the heart of the County Council.

LiL is a panel of over 2,000 Lancashire residents from all walks of life right across the county. LiL members give the County Council a broad range of views and opinions about local services and life in Lancashire. Every few months we send members a survey giving them the opportunity to tell us their views on things that really matter to them. With these surveys we also give feedback on how we are going to improve our services to better meet the needs of the people in Lancashire.

This is your chance to have your views heard about the things that matter to you. Life in Lancashire panel members have had a direct impact on the decisions Lancashire County Council makes and the services we offer to you. The research findings have already been used by many services and partners to improve what they do and the way they do it.
