Economic Development

Lancashire County Council's Economic Development Strategy has twin aims of:

• achieving economic prosperity, and
• ensuring that people working/living in Lancashire can share in its benefits.

We do this by working across Lancashire with:

• communities and neighbourhoods to enable people to access the benefits of economy growth and development;
• businesses through inward investment strategies attracting them into Lancashire;
• entrepreneurs to develop and launch their businesses in Lancashire;
• existing businesses to help them to develop, support and deliver growth plans.

Economic development makes a significant contribution to the county council's corporate plan through all seven corporate strategies, in particular to have jobs and prosper.
