Equinox Precision Engineering in Great Harwood manufactures steel components for everything from light bulb fittings to window frames. The company has benefited from Rosebud three times to invest in machinery including turning and milling machines.
“I originally approached Rosebud as I was unsuccessful in getting a bank loan to buy new machinery as the business was only a few years old. Rosebud have been really helpful over the years providing finance packages to suit the needs of the business and ongoing support, which is why I have come back for further funding to expand the business. I also find it worthwhile that my money will be reinvested to help other businesses and support Lancashire’s economy, rather than going to shareholders and bank bonuses.”
Arminder Sohal of Equinox Precision Engineering

With a head office in Burnley and branches in major cities across the UK, Denwa specialise in the installation and maintenance of business phone systems, including internet-based systems and call centre technology. Since launching in 2006, Rob Scott has developed the business, which now has a turnover approaching £2 million and employs 15 people. In honour of his achievements, Rob was presented with the One to Watch at the Lancashire Business View Young ‘Uns Awards. He was commended for providing a service to businesses across the UK with unsurpassed satisfaction levels.
“As a rapidly expanding telecoms company we found that we had outgrown our existing source of bank finance and we were banging our heads against a brick wall until we met with Rosebud. They took the time to get to understand how our business worked and what the issues were with our existing financial structure and funding that was holding back our growth. Having assessed the situation Rosebud devised a funding structure that matched the dynamics of our business and then refinanced the business to provide us with the financial facilities to enable us to take our business forward. We were impressed with Rosebud’s ability to generate a solution for our corporate finance need and would recommend them to any business seeking to raise capital to fund the expansion of their business.”

A Business partner of Sage, Stonehouse Logic delivers tangible benefits through the use of Information Systems to customers across the North and Midlands. They have twice benefited from rosebud funding.
"Since securing funding through rosebud our business has indeed continued to grow, with staffing levels rising from three to 15 in the past few years. We have a good relationship with our fund manager who continues to keep an eye on our progress and is always useful to bounce ideas off. There is no doubt that the support we have received from rosebud has been instrumental in the success we have enjoyed in the last few years."
Sally Hope, Director of Stonehouse Logic Ltd

CoolKit Ltd supplies a broad range of temperature-controlled vehicle services to industries including food delivery and distribution, Sample Analysis laboratories, blood transfusion and forensic services; pets and livestock. Many van manufacturers and vehicle leasing companies use the Padiham-based company’s products.
"CoolKit went to Rosebud for finance to help to grow the business, with a view to preparing to increase sales in both the UK and overseas. Our first step has been to improve our kit-form products, and we are now underway with preparations to achieve new mandatory standards which will govern our marketplace from 2013. In addition, we needed to improve the quality and visibility of our web presence with a view to capturing more enquiries from businesses in both domestic and overseas markets, and we have already seen our online enquiries more than double since the improvements were made. Combined, the measures we have taken using the investment funds have already had a substantial impact on our sales – with our order intake so far this year up by more than 60% on last year, we are well positioned to take advantage of further opportunities arising."
Rupert Gatty, Managing Director of Coolkit
