Grants for Growth II campaign

Through Grants for Growth II small frontline Voluntary, Community and Faith organisations working at a local grass roots level and developing projects to progress individuals towards employment are supported.

A grant of up to £6,000 is available to community organisations interested in developing innovative and creative projects to engage with individuals and progress them on a journey towards work through training and skills.

Priority is given to projects supporting unemployed people:

• with a disability or health condition
• are a lone parent
• are from a minority ethnic group
• women
• the over 50's
• NEET young people (aged 16+)
• vulnerable adults (e.g. the homeless, ex-offenders and substance misusers).

Grants for Growth 2 should be able to offer support to around 100 projects and 42 have been agreed so far.

All activity must be completed by December 2010.
