Consumer advice
Consumer civil laws set out consumer rights. We cannot enforce these laws but, in partnership with the Citizens Advice (external link) consumer service, we provide free advice and assistance to consumers in the pursuit of justifiable claims including, where appropriate, mediation with traders and assistance in the preparation and presentation of claims in the county courts and in magistrates courts.

Traders make product recalls about products that have problems which could affect the safety of the consumer. You can find a list of safety warnings and product recall notices (external link) in the Trading Standards Institute website.
