The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® is a parenting and family support system designed to equip parents with the tools they need to support and manage behavioural and emotional problems in children and teenagers.

It aims to prevent problems in the family, school and community before they arise and to create family environments that encourage children to realise their potential.

Courses run in small groups to enable you to meet parents in similar situations to your own, share experiences and develop support networks whilst learning new techniques to help in the home.

Triple P Group

For those parenting children aged 2 to 12 years, delivered over eight weeks. Parents actively participate in a range of exercises to learn about the causes of child behaviour problems, setting specific goals, and using strategies to promote child development, manage misbehaviour and plan for high-risk situations.

Triple P Stepping Stones (SEND)

This course has been developed for parents of children with a disability. Stepping Stones has been evaluated with families of children with a range of disabilities (for example intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy) and elevated levels of disruptive behaviour. Delivered over 9 weeks.

Triple P Teen

Delivered over eight weeks for parents of teenagers who are interested in learning a variety of parenting skills and strategies. Parents may be interested in promoting their teenager’s development and potential or they may have concerns about their teenager’s behaviour or want to improve communication.

The Freedom Programme is a domestic abuse programme which was primarily designed for women as victims of domestic abuse. The course examines the roles played by attitudes and beliefs on the actions of abusive men and the responses of victims and survivors. The aim is to help them to make sense of and understand what has happened to them. It also describes in detail how children are affected by being exposed to this kind of abuse and, very importantly, how their lives are improved when the abuse is removed. The programme lasts for 12 weeks.

Freedom for Children is an 8-session programme for children aged 5 to 11 years who have experienced domestic abuse.

It is delivered 1 to 1 in a setting the child feels comfortable with. The aim is: "To enable children to identify and name abusive and non-abusive behaviour and therefore recognise the difference between the two.  To enable children to comprehend the causes of what appears to be a random act of violence and therefore to be reassured that they were not to blame."
