Alston Hall

Alston Hall is a stunning Victorian building overlooking the beautiful Ribble Valley. The building is well known as a residential college for adult learning, offering a wide range of courses including arts and crafts, health and wellbeing, humanities, languages, literature and creative writing, music and dance and much more.

Whether you are a new or returning visitor we are sure that you will enjoy the wide range of residential and day courses that we have on offer. We aim to keep our programme of courses fresh and interesting, so our well-respected, established tutors are regularly joined by new tutors who bring new skills, expertise and enthusiasm.

Our residential summer school courses give you the opportunity to spend a little more time with us, enjoying informative courses in the day while relaxing in the bar area and taking in the beautiful grounds in the evening. This is the perfect chance to relax and get to know like-minded people.

Even if you are not studying, Alston Hall is a lovely place to be. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly which is perfect if you are attending a course or event on your own. We are happy to arrange accommodation for mini breaks and even longer.

If you would like to see a full list of courses on our autumn programme, please download a copy of our new brochure.
