There are several ways you can order a copy certificate:
Cheques or postal orders should be made payable to Lancashire County Council.
When you place an order we will treat it as an offer to buy. If we accept your order, we make a legal contract with you. In deciding whether to accept your order we may use the information you have given to us. Please provide as much information as you can, to enable the certificate service office staff to make a successful search of our records.
Deliveries are by surface post or Air Mail. Delivery will be within 28 working days of acceptance of order unless stated otherwise. We give priority to applications for personal use so if your application is for family history purposes you may wait up to 3 weeks for a response. We will contact you by telephone or e-mail if there are any unexpected delays.
As the goods being supplied are of a personalised nature from your specification, and also because the order is fed directly into our production process, leaving us unable to stop the system, we therefore regret that there is no facility to cancel, amend or refund your order.
If, however, we are unable to locate the entry you request, we will write to tell you within 20 working days, and in this circumstance, your fee will be fully refunded.
