An atmospheric Tudor country house in a wonderful woodland setting. Period rooms display a magnificent collection of decorative woodwork, paintings and furniture (including items loaned from the Victoria and Albert Museum)
Step back through 400 years with our costumed characters and unlock some of the secrets of this beautiful house.
Meet the Lord and Lady of the house, or perhaps their steward and maid, and fire the imaginations of your pupils with stories of Tudor life.
“I really enjoyed my day – I learned a lot about Tudor times - like how it was in fashion to have a big tummy - if they didn’t have one, they made armour with a large tummy.”
