Follow the Thread

A 2 day textile fair on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June 2013

Calling all stitchers, knitters and textile enthusiasts!

Join us for a weekend immersed in fabrics, fibres and hands on fun for everyone to enjoy.

There will be a wealth of textile based work on display, including stalls selling craft materials.

Specially for the kids, we'll have alpacas in the courtyard!

Normal museum admission applies.

 

FREE FILM NIGHT

Tuesday 18 June 2013  7.00pm start.

Tuesday Timewarp - a selection of archive films from the local area.

See how the workers of Higher Mill prepared their cloth.
Learn how the Great House Experimental Farm was worked in 1960.
Light refreshments available before the screening, and an opportunity to look round the museum afterwards.

A fascinating exhibition celebrating all things Lancashire grown, through farming and allotments.
Explore the legacy of the local Helmshore Great House Experimental Farm Project.
Learn about growing your own food and healthy eating.
