Welcome to The Coffee Mill, our award winning cafe that offers traditional homemade food within a relaxed and friendly historical setting.

We offer:

  • A varied menu packed full of traditional, Lancashire food with a separate family friendly menu just for the little ones
  • NEW hot Specials to tantalise the tastebuds
  • Afternoon Teas - the height of sophistication and a real treat
  • A relaxing space to surf the net in our internet corner
  • And, if you're stuck for time choose our popular Take-Away menu

To support local produce and suppliers we offer tea and coffee which has been specially blended for us by J. Atkinson & Co of Lancaster (www.atkinsonsteaandcoffee.co.uk)and delicious chutneys and jams by Reedy's of Oswaldtwistle (www.reedys.co.uk).

Our shop sells traditional and contemporary gifts for all ages, focusing on Lancashire made crafts and produce. You can purchase local delicacies such as Reedy's homemade jam and the hand crafted Simply Textiles range of textiles. Simply Textile designs are exclusive to Lancashire Museums made from yarn spun at Helmshore, and expertly woven at our sister museum Queen Street Mill Museum, at Burnley.
