'Best Small Visitor Attraction of the Year' Award 20010/11.

In June 2010 we won the 'Best Small Visitor Attraction of the Year' Award 20010/11 at the annual Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board Tourism Awards event. Following the two-year £3.5million refurbishment of the Museum and subsequent Royal opening by HRH The Duke of Gloucester, we received the award at a glittering ceremony hosted by TV personality Michaela Strachan at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Accrington.

Tiny Tumble Parlick

Steward's Gallery Exhibition

'Animating Tiny Tumble' by Mark Mason and 'A Grand Perspective' by Chris McLoughlin.

Following on from his first successful Cbeebies television series of Tiny Tumble, the Ribble Valley's own animator Mark Mason shows how his concept for Tiny was brought to fruition. There are Tiny Tumble colouring sheets to use in the gallery free of charge, and signed (Tiny and Mark) postcards for sale in the museum gift shop.

Chris McLoughlin, professional contemporary en plein air artist, has produced a new body of work for the Steward's Gallery which predominantly features the Bowland Forrest area as the main subject. All of Chris's work is for sale; there is a mixture of framed originals, non framed originals and framed and glazed quality prints.
