Education Centre
Lancashire Countryside Service offers environmental education at Beacon Fell
Country Park. The Green Classroom is a range of environmental education activities
aimed to encourage children to explore and learn about our natural environment
first hand. Beacon Fell provides an excellent outdoor classroom for us to find
out about the importance of conservation and how we impact on the world around
us.
All our activities are designed to be fun as well as informative. We hope that
through practical experience outdoors, children will learn something new and
have a memorable trip. And all this is provided free of charge!

Schools wishing to do activities other than those listed are welcome, please discuss your individual requirements with a member of staff who will be able to give help and advice for your visit. The Environment Room an annex to the Bowland Visitor Centre which is available to be booked for use by school groups. There are permanent displays providing information on the Forest of Bowland and environmental science. It also provides somewhere dry to eat lunch if the weather is not ideal!
